Asics - New For May

Another month and another couple of great new colour ways in Asics outstanding Gel-Lyte III. These shoes have just arrived at Fat Buddha Store, and look like they won't be around for very long. In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name Asics for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano", which when translated expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, Asics was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Asics continue to pull out all the stops with these great new colours of Gel-Lyte III in a Royal Blue/Grey colour way, topped off with a contrasting Pink spliced tongue and a Navy/Orange colour option.  The Gel-Lyte III has maintained a status as a powerful shoe since its debut in 1989, released as an innovative runner shoe the profile has remained virtually untouched remaining as distinctive as ever.
